Where does the delta become salt water?

I live in the east San Francisco Bay Area. I don't want to take my boat into salt water. Where does the delta become salt water. And.....Anyone know any respectable boat mechanic's in the area (east bay)?

You might want to rethink the taking of your boat into salt water. Storing your boat in fresh water and taking it into salt water periodically is a great way to prevent fouling of the bottom. It has to be pure salt water. The brackish water of the estuary may not kill the freshwater fouling organisms.
