Where does the dvr/cable box go for a flat panel wall mounted tv?

i'm thinking of buying one for a nice look but i'm confused where the box would go.

I have the cable box on an entertainment center below the wall mounted TV with all wires running behind drywall.  Other people have just run longer cables around the room, then put the box wherever they wanted.  You may need to get creative with your wiring, but you will enjoy the end result
