Never heard it before - the expression! But when horses start you can't miss it!!!!It usually is in time with the rider. Need a horse expert here

I've never heard that expression before. The one I hear is "I have to pee like a racehorse". That expression is used because they pee a lot.

peeing like a race horse i have heard.  it comes from being being given lasix (a really strong diuretic, that draws all the water of the system so they are less likely to have bleeding of the lungs ....kind of sick when u think about it...run as hard and as fast as you can, but we wont give you any water the day of the race so you can make money for us....forget about heat exhaustion...we dont care about that either...just bring home a check if you survive).  it makes the urine just gush out of them.  i am talking buckets of urine!!!  prolonged use of lasix destroys the kidneys too boot!
