Where does the flight attendant sit on a dash 8?

i just got a job as a flight attendant and i start in a month... i was wondering if i'd be sitting backwards or forewards

  1. On a Dash 8 (aka Q200 & Q400), the flight attendant sits behind the cockpit, left side at the exit door, opposite seat 1C, facing backwards.  Most airplanes are designed to have the F/A's facing backwards as that allows (1) the F/A to get a better view of the passengers, and (2) improves survivability in the event of a crash.


  2. The flight attendant sits facing the passengers on a rear facing seat located by the passenger door at the front of the aircraft.

  3. The flight attendant has a seat right in front of the cabin... If you look in this picture, directly to the left of where the flight attendent stands you can see that on the wall there is a seat. It is above the head of the passenger sitting next to the isle. This seat folds down so the flight attendent can sit during take off and landings

  4. Most of the time flight attendants seats are facing backwards. But I am pretty sure that the seat is near the front of the plane.
