  1. You're in luck. Everything is explained here

    http://www.syctom-paris.fr/pdf/rapportan...

Processing plants are on page 7.

  2. Most of fernch cities have now adopted the european rules about garbage -

Every citizen is involved in the process -

Every body must take part -

in fact there are many kinds of garbages and we treat the problem according to a SELECTIVE method -

Heavy garbage such as old fridges tv etc must be taken in charge by sellers and be oriented to a dismantling system or recycling

The same for wreck cars - new models must be in each part recyclable

Otherwise you can let them in the street in conventionnal places and they are brought away by Council services

Special garbages must be brought at your own expenses to dechetteries ( litter centers ) example : burnt oil, batteries, paint-pails etc

Then daily garbage : must be put into blue or green containers - green only for old glass and blue for aluminium and all kinds of papers -

otherwise biological garbage is thrown into "general" containers and most of the time recycled into compost -

Concerning plastic boxes and bottles I must say that new fibers and components have been created by industry - and enable to make new kinds of clothes ( very nice ones & cheap ) or new kinds of road-work signals eg

Concerning glass I can tell u that bottles are "ground" and re-melted in glass-factories
