alright everytime i turn on my vr3 cd player in my car, all my settings have reset, i would normally think that the yellow wire (memory) matches up with the other yellow wire, but in order for the CD player to power, the red and yellow must be connected, which leaves the yellow wire from the wiring harness left with no match.... so what do i do with this wire? ive tried putting it with the ground wire, and nothing seems to work.... WHAT DO I DO TO GET THIS WORKING RIGHT?!?

  1. you need a constant/memory power wire and a ignition power wire (not as simple as matching the colors)

use a test light ($5) and find a wire that is hot at all times and connect it to your memory/constant wire on the radio and find a wire that is only hot when the key is turned and connect it to the ignition power wire on the radio

each wire on the radio should have only one other wire hooked to it, it sounds like you have both your constant wire and your ignition wire connected to the same (ignition not constant) wire on the radio
