  1. It derives from Lu's c**k. DURRR!!!!

  2. Dear Kim l,

I might be able to help you. My name is Douglas Alan Lucock i am 61 years old and live in Melbourne Australia where i migrated to in 1965 from London.

My descendants come from London & the County of Surrey where Croydon is.

My Great Grandfather was a William Lucock(wife Ellen) and they had 3 children, Alan,Percey(my Grandfather) & Nellie.

I believe Alan Lucock had 3 children,George, Marie & Philip Ernest Lucock(was Federal National Party Member for Lynn in NSW).

My fathers name was Alan Edward Lucock and he met Philip when he came over in the seventies to see me.

My father talked about his cousins(George, Marie & Philip)and he did say one or some of them went to New Zealand to live.In fact when i was young one of the New Zealand Lucock relatives came over to England for a Scout Jamboree.

I am retired now and just starting to build up a Family Tree. I leave for England at the end of May to catch up with 3 of my children who are on a working holiday in London. I will also be catching up with my Eldest brother John who still lives in England. Whilst there i intend to try and do some research into my family tree.

If you think this information might help you please contact me on dougcal@bigpond.net.au and whilst in London i might be able to fill in answers for you also.

    Regards

    Douglas

  3. Kim, this name is definitely English.  If you have an ancestry question, go to genealogy forum.

The previous answer from Doug may help a lot too.
