Where does the oil go?

Question

My R1 gets low on oil about 1500 to 2000 miles miles after oil change every time. It's not leaking anywhere and I don't notice any liquid coming out my pipe. I use 20W50 car oil without the additives dangerous to clutches.

If you're not leaking it, then you must be burning it. Notice any white smoke in the exhaust ?

Lots of bikes use some oil between changes without looking like a rolling Mosquito fogger. If it does not smoke excessively and runs OK, don't worry about it, just add oil as needed.

like scott said if it runs fine and doesn't have any symptoms of buring oil like smoke or fouled plugs just keep enjoying the ride
