  1. The Queen's food is ordered for her by servants.

Harrods are unlikely to be used by the Royal Family since the owner (Mohammed Al Fayed) has publicly accused the Queen's husband, Prince Philip, of murder. They lost their Royal Warrants.

The Palace probably uses suppliers for state banquets etc. The list of Royal Warrant holders can be found here: http://www.royalwarrant.org/

  2. down the market!!! only joking

she gets it delivered from Harrods!

  3. She doesn't, the kitchen staff does her shopping for her

  4. she has other people shop for her food duhh....

  5. She doesn't - one of her ladies in waiting issues the orders to the catering staff. Harrods, nornally, and other prestigious London stores.

Fresh food is used wherever possible: this comes from the Royal estates and farms.

One simply cannot be seen to enjoy fish 'n chips!

  6. I doubt the Queen gets any food from Harrods anymore.

I expect all Fruit Veg Meat and Fish are fresh from markets or straight from suppliers.

And any other food comes in bulk straight from companies who have royal warrants (they have the royal crest on the packaging).

  7. Phil, I just nipping down to Sainsburies to buy some kippers for tea dear. All right Liz, pick me up a pot of silver shred, while you're there.

    Yes right!

  8. Waitrose (part of John Lewis) hold the Royal Warrant for the Queen.  They also held it for the Queen Mother.  Although (of course) the Queen does not go shopping herself her staff do.  It was shown on TV a picture of her breakfast table and she had Waitrose yoghurts to eat.
