Where does the saying "Cake or Death?" come from?

  1. That's weird,I've never heard that, but Marie Antoinette's famous line was in response to being told that the peasant's were starving because they had no bread: "Well then, let them eat cake!"

    Ultimately it did result in her death, but I don't think that's what's refernced here.
