Where does the surname Highnote come from? Just curious. I know they're different versions like Hignot, Hinote, Hinot, Highnote, etc. But apparently they possibly come from Germany?

It's possible the names you refer to are also a form of the last name,  'Huguenots', whose origins are from France, but I'm not positive.
