As all of us, who've worked in the restaurant business, are familiar with the term "86 it", I'm curious to know what it means, and where did it come from?

  1. if you are refering to 86'd  , it was from a form from a big company i think AT@T that meant layoff or furlough

  2. It came from an old commercial. I think Joe Namath was in it. I can't remember what it was for, but when they said to 86 that, they meant to get rid of it.
