  1. The umbilical cord is attached to the placenta, after the baby is born they cut the cord, the placenta is delivered with the rest of the cord attached to it.

  2. The cord runs from the placenta to the belly button.  It gets cut fast so in most of the shows on TV you can't even tell they had one.  The cord is still attached to the placenta and usually it is all burned as medical waste.

  3. The umbilical cord is clamped in 2 places. One close to the baby. Then it is cut. The clamp is removed by 24 hours, with the stump to fall off the baby in 7-10 days. The rest goes with the placenta. The docs look at the cord to make sure it has three vessels and the placenta to make sure it all delivered.

  4. If there is no umbilical cord there is no baby.  The cord is a

attached to the placenta (after birth)  which is delivered after the baby is born.

  5. the cord is attached to the placenta which comes out after the baby! every baby has an umbilical cord hun it's how they stay alive in your tummy!

  6. There is always a cord and it is attached to the placenta (after birth) they dispose of it in a bio hazard waste bin or if the mom is using it for cord blood it is sent to a lab.

  7. all babies have umbilical cords

its goes from the placenta which is attached to the wall of the uterus's to the baby or babies
