    They don't have a USB port.

    They are miniDV tape based camcorders and DV format video is imported to your computer using the DV port. Connect this DV port to the firewire 400 port of your computer using a firewire cable. The camcorder's DV port is always a 4-pin. The firewire 400 port on your computer can be either 4-pin or 6-pin depending on the computer.

    If your computer does not have a firewire 400 port, hopefully it has an expansion slot so you can add one. They are cheap.
