  1. The hose needs to go directly to engine vacuum.

  2. strait to the vaccum pump

  3. There is 2 types of vacuums on any internal combustion engine.  Manifold vacuum and its counterpart venturi vacuum.  You must hook it up to the carb to obtain the vacuum you need.  Anything on the manifold is the exact opposite of what you need.  If you get the wrong one no harm will be done but your performance will suffer and you will know it.

  4. On the bottom plate of the Holley there will be a port with a small pipe to attach the vacuum hose to. Hope this helps.

  5. IT GOES ON THE VACUUM FITTING AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT FRONT CORNER OF THE CARB.. PERIOD.. IF YOUR TRANS WAS HOOKED TO IT , GET YOUR VACUUM LINE CONNECTED TO THE VACUUM PORT BEHIND THE CARB ON THE MANIFOLD.  YOU'RE BETTER OFF ...  AND IT SHOULD BE THERE ANYWAY.
