  1. TXU generates most of their own power.  This is from one of their websites.

    "We developed the innovative PlasmaBond® application for all our nuclear, fossil and gas electricity generating stations."

    Periodicall they might have excess capacity, then they sell that through the state ISO.  Other times they have to buy through the ISO to make up for shortages in capacity.
