Where does white water rafting usually take place?

Usually people who dont raft that much go to the Ocoee river, Gaully, or the New. Most rafting takes place in Valleys not Mountains. Ussually Mountain streams are too small for rafts or the rocks will pucture the raft.

You need a canyon with a fast movng river. there are several in NY and PA and many in the west.
