  1. im not sure what it means but its probably Arabic, or French, since he is a decendant of Algerian immigrants in France.

  3. I believe it means "Watch out, I am going to head-butt you in the chest!"

  4. I checked Ancestry, they show no origin or meaning for either spelling, unfortunately.

    They do show 3 families with the Zeidan surname in the USA in each of these years: 1840, 1880, 1920.  Nebraska, Iowa, and Pennsylvania are the locations.

    They show no families with Zidane as the last name.

    I looked at one of the census records, John Zeidan appears to have been born in Galicia (Spain).

  5. Um, just one correction. John Zeidan was from Galicia Poland. You can pull up his records for free at http://www.ellisisland.org It is a completely free site, though you may need to register (still free) to view the passenger films.
