Where else should i go (backpacking)?

ok ive just started saving for my backpacking adventure that might end up taking me most the way round the world. i really want to go to Nepal (for the hiking) and New Zealand (for the hiking and chilling out) was thinking of starting in western Europe (France or Holland) seeing Italy (for the culture) then moving on to Nepal and ending up in New Zealand. This should take 2-3months im thinking and cost in the region of £4000 - £5000 (thats $8000 - $10,000)

anywhere else i should think of going and is there anything totally unmissable in the places im going
