  1. whoa thats gonna be alot to see in a short amount of time. italy is beautiful anywhere you go will be great, especially in the south.

  2. I would give Milan a miss it really is a dreary and grey place.

    My favourite beach area?

Sardinia is without a doubt the best for beaches - absolutely stunning. Check out some of the best here: http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-...

Some other great beach areas are Conero in Le Marche - incidentally also one of the best overall regions of Italy .

For more on the Conero and the great beaches in Le Marche visit http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-...

Some of my other favourite regions are Puglia and Piedmont. For some great photos and to get an idea of what these places are all about visit http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-...

  3. you should visit naples.....it's fantastic!

  4. Try the islands around Capri. great beaches etc.  Try Orvieto. a monastery town that makes great wine and is fun to visit. Bologna is noted for its food.  I had better Lasagna in the train station at Bologna than I have had in most places in the world.

  5. id throw milan out the window.. waste of time and money. Its really ugly compared to the rest of italy. I'd go to positano if you  want a beach place or sorrento.

  6. 20 days are enough, you'll be able to see lots of things here. if you're planning of going to sicily too you shouldn't miss Taormina. it's one of the most beautiful places in italy and sicily and the sea it's wonderful there. Another popular place to visit in sicily is Cefalù (close to Palermo) and the sea is nice and clean too. Plus Siracusa and Agrigento with the valley of the temples. Amazing. As I live in Tuscany I can tell advise you not to miss Pisa and the Leaning tower (nothing else in my town). Then you could head to Lucca, a small town full of tourists as well. You'll be able to see both in a day if you want to save time for the most important cities. Siena is beautiful as well as San Gimignano and its old seven towers. Even if it's not in Tuscany, I advise you also Perugia and Assisi. Assisi if famous for the church of San Francesco. Perugia is well noted for the chocolate. It's an old city on the hill.

Getting back to Tuscany, we also have clean water along the coast, especially the south of Livorno. Check Castiglioncello, you might like it. As you have plenty of time I advise you the lakes in the north as well. Como lake for example or Garda lake which is closer to Venice.

  7. You should go to Tuscany ( Siena, Ferrara and perfect little town called San Gimignano), then you should go to Rome, and stay there for at least 7 days because it has so many things to see, then straight to Napoli ( be carefull, it is not very safe), but it is great, and then you have a fast boat to Capri, the elite island, it's like heaven. After that you go to Pompei where was that huge lava eruption on August 26, 79 A.D.  and for the end Sicilia, enjoy!

P.S Italia is very big, you should take some cities to see, not everything from Milano to Napoli, because you will not enjoy, you will travel all the time. And my advice is, take the train to travel, it' s great, cheap and fast.

  8. Milan is great for shopping especially the shops around the cathedral, in Tuscany be sure to visit Pisa.
