Where exactly are the fires in nevada?

The smoke is so thick here in gardnerville todya that it is making me very very nervous. It is worse today than in all the last 2 weeks, which has been pretty bad. Is there any way to find out whether there is a fire anywhere near me??

There are quite a few fires north of the Sacramento area.  What you see and smell is probably smoke from those fires being blown toward your community.  Winds usually blow west to east in the western part of North America.
