My check engine light is on, and a diagnostic test revealed that I needed to replace my oxygen sensors. I'm going to have my husband do it, but we have no idea where they are or how to get to them. Thanks.

  1. there should be two oxygen sensors. One before the catalytic converter on the exhaust pipe and one after.

  2. just follow your your header down to the catalic converter.

u will see some the o2 sensors on there, hey have wires going to them.

when u buy then at your local auto store u will see what where talking about.

  3. Which O2 sensor?  There are two O2 sensors, one is located on the exhaust manifold and it's called bank1 or upstream, it looks like a spark plug with wires at the end of it.  The other one is bank2 or down stream sensor, located just before the catalytic converter, underneath the car.  If you're going to DIY, you'll need a special tool, O2 sensnsor remover.  The tool can be rented or borrowed from the place where you buy the O2 sensors from.  If your husband know how to change spark plugs, he can do it with ease, save lots of money.
