Every time I do an ollie I only get about a foot and a half off the ground. I can jump at least 3 feet in the air without the skateboard so I know im doing something wrong. My right foot scoots up on the board and I don't think this is right please tell me.

  1. your back foot should be on the tip of the tail centered and your front foot can vary any where from behind th front bolts to on the nose.( i don't suggest it though)

and just because you're able to jump three feet in the air doesn't exactly mean you can ollie that height. it also depends on how you ollie. if you want to ollie higher you should pop the board harder, slide your front foot higher, and suck up your feet to hit your chest. that should give you a little more height.

i could jump probably 4-5 feet but can ollie only 3  feet. it also depends on your board weighs.

    hope i helped!

  2. ur back foot is on the tail somewhere push down on the tail with ur back foot that should bring u up higher and when u slide ur other foot up dont put to much pressuree on it

  3. your back foot anywhere on the tail--from just behind the bolts to the tip of the tail. tip is probably best

the further back you put your front foot the higher and easier you can get the nose to shoot up, but the less control you will have.

    its mostly about technique, though

pop as hard as you can

suck your knees to your chest

roll your front foot. this really helps you be able to drag the board up higher. i don't do this because of poor learning bad habit and laziness

also another thing you might want to try is instead of just pulling up your front leg and pushing forward, when you are pulling the leg up try to pull it back towards your back leg then push out. this helps it get out of the way while the front board is shooting up.

  4. your back foot on the curve and the front between the middle and front truck ( thing that holds wheels on )
