I have been told that there is a Monastery in France where they still make the Liquer. Is this true, and if so, is it somewhere that you can visit?

  1. Mmm, I love Chambord. This is taken from the Chambord website...

Chambord is inspired by a unique raspberry liqueur produced in the Loire Valley of France during the late 17th Century.

Chambord is now crafted on the premises of a traditional Loire Valley Chateau south of Paris, using only the finest all-natural ingredients in a unique three-step process.

I do not know if you can visit it but there is a 'Contact us' link on the site which may provide you with more information.

On a bottle that I have here it says - "Chambord et cie, 41350 Huisseau pres chambord. France.

Im not entirely sure what that means though...so,

    Good luck!
