  1. Hi--We were lucky enough to have our luxury holidays in Barbados last year http://www.elegantresorts.co.uk/location... -it was amazing!-The people, beaches and weather were all superb. Can't wait to go back.

Anyway, check here for geographical info on Barbados:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_o...

  2. Barbados is situated just east of the Caribbean Sea. It is an independent island nation in the western Atlantic Ocean,  at roughly 13° North of the equator and 59° West of the prime meridian, the country lies in the southern Caribbean region, where it is considered a part of the Lesser Antilles.

Its closest island neighbors are Saint Vincent & the Grenadines and Saint Lucia to the west. To the south lies Trinidad and Tobago—with which Barbados now shares a fixed official maritime boundary—and also the South American mainland. Barbados's total land area is about 430 square kilometres (166 square miles), and is primarily low-lying, with some higher regions in the country's interior. The highest point in Barbados is Mount Hillaby in the parish of Saint Andrew.

  3. in th west indies sort of between north and south america

  4. Barbados is north east of South America. it is near the southern end of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean and is to the east of the southern end. It is also North east of trinidad and tobago.

  5. If you know where the Caribbean Islands are - you would know they are no where near Europe. And BDS it is not a continent - it is an island. Barbados is in the West Indies and a member of the CARICOM states.  It is a well known island in and out of the Caribbean because it's main source of income is tourism. The beaches are beautiful. The people generally friendly. The area is reasonably crime-free. The two main currencies used are: Barbados dollar and the US dollar (although it is not a US island). If you are looking at a map...Barbados is located along the chain of the lesser antilles, slightly outside and to the right of the chain, closer to upper South America (Venezuela) (as a marker). Google it.
