Where has all the lightening bugs gone?

you remember when you were a child and as soon as the weather got a little warm, lightening bugs just magically apperead, even before the sun went down. Not anymore, where have they gone? I really miss them little guys. And what makes it so ironic is that I hate bugs but love lightening bugs.

I think your attracted to the light and the bugs havent gone out because i think its still either too cold or there still hibernating until a couple more months and you also have to live near areas with lots of trees(just  areas with plant is where they usually  appear)
