Where have all the serious environmentalists gone?

The Environment section seems to have been abandoned to the global warming naysayers. Did everyone else just get fed up and go away? Is there another area where we can ask real questions get an answer based on science instead of politics?

No offense, but environmentalism IS a political subset of the population.

I love nature, but environmentalists appear to hate humans.

I love all of nature, including humans.

Trust me there are still so many environmentalists (me being one of them) out there. discovery Chanel and animal plant is nothing but environmentalists. And they are spreading the word like wild fire, so to speak :)
