Where have people found a good place to advertise for yard sale?

We are selling everything we have and I thought I did a good job of advertising but not very many people are showing up. Is it the economy?

Economy and gas prices.  Be sure your signs are huge & still up & that they are on busy corners.  At every corner where someone will need to turn, put a sign or an arrow that matches the color you use.  I hate spotting a sign and then end up hanging when I don't know my way around the area.

for a yard sale I doubt it.

did you try craigs list?  huge neon signs?  flyers && leaving them on cars and shops? maybe school announcements or newspaper adds...penny saver?

Change your signs make them big and add words like free

yard and street signs are great

but hours of operation could be killing your sales

weekends are great

the economy being bad will help yard sales!

tips

Just try again but change the day and time

clean all stuff and lay it out like a store would.

put the most expensive stuff in the front where people can see it.

make small flags on your signs or add balloons

buy candy and add free candy 4 kids on your sign

also free face paint for kids

and make a game with dollar store prizes for kids

sack races are cool and the race starts every hour.

and keeps parents in the yard witch draws more people!

tell churches about the kid fun and watch the money roll in!
