My boyfriend has a 2 year old boy who is an absolute joy. However he woke up this morning with a bruise on either side of his face, now i know he fell out of bed this morning and that may have caused one of them but we both have no idea where the other has come from. We have tried asking him but he either goes quiet or say he fell over but this bruise looks more like scratches by his ear and forehead and then a small bruise on his jawline. We do have a 3month old kitten who is very playful and who he plays with alot. Please help cos i'm getting worried bout him!!

  1. my friends child brusises very easily. Every little bump he get HUGE bruice. After the school calling DCFS. She finnally took him to the doctor and he has some kind of blood problem that causes him to bruice easily. He goes over to the children hospital for blood work monthly.

  2. I wouldn't worry about him being abused or hurt by anyone unless it continues to happen.  Always monitor him when he is with the kitten.

Little boys are going to get bumps and bruises.  However, if he gets bad bruises and bleeds often, you should talk to his pediatrician about it.  The pediatrician may check to make sure he doesn't have hemophilia or some sort of anemia thing.

  3. He hasn't been eating that hot and spicy KFC stuff they have been advertising has he?

  4. He's a boy and he will get bruised. That's what they do! I have five boys, and one time I took my most active to the doc..She and the nurse saw his legs, how bruised they were..He's a climber, jumper, you name it..The doc just laughed and said she could tell he was a healthy active little boy! So, dont worry about it.They just get them, and you may never hear about it.

  5. My kids get bruises all the time. I don't know how they get most of them.

As one of the answers stated, he is just an active healthy little boy :)

  6. He is two and being a boy, he will get bruises all over the place from all kinds of things, falling out of bed being one of them. Are you suspecting his father of abuse? Im not sure where you are going with this but you also have to understand that a two year old is very short on the use of words and may not be able to explain where they come from, also at that age any questioning to them, they may feel they are in trouble and pull back and get very quiet. Keep a closer eye on him over the next few days and see whats happening.

  7. He's a boy! He's not going to be afraid to get some scratches and bumps. Those bruises most likely are indicating that he's healthy and active.

  8. Hi There yeah boys will be boys I have a 4 year old girl and she is the same she still gets bruises I think the worst was when my mum was watching her and she was playing outside and fell over and bumped her head on a rock and there was a huge bruise there and it is the worst feeling ever.

With your son falling out of bed I found if you get one of those long body pillows and put it on the side of the bed under the sheet it should stop him from rolling out (worked for me)
