  1. Just to add, that Mini was actually white when it was last taxed - and that was 11 years ago.

It's almost certainly scrap now, I'm afraid.

  2. 1. You can't trace the present owner as that would violate the Data Protection Act.

    2. The registration given is not a 1971 registration (A 1971 reg would be either J or K suffix)

    3. The RAC, AA and DVLA have sites that you can access to see if the vehicle still exists, provided you have reasonable need for the information.

    4. I would imagine that a 1971 Mini, even a Cooper S, would have been scrapped by now unless someone has bought it and restored it.

  3. call or go see rta ...

  4. It is a difficult task. You have to start from the first registering authority. They will tell you where it was transferred, you must go there and find out so on.

Usually Fitness certficate of a vehicle is 15 years.1971 model would have obtained fitness certificate in 1986.The second fitness was due in 2001,if at all it was done.If fitness certficate has not been renewed the car would have been disposed off as junk or lying in collectors(vintage car owners) hands.Good Luck

  5. you could get a HPI check , but i'm not sure if it gives you the ownership information. you would have to get hold of the v5 log book and all previous logs.

  6. 1

  7. well best i can add is that at the moment the cars isnt isured/on the road[ive checked]....without the doc number thats as far as i can go,sorry.
