  1. With the nature of our climate, start out by checking the histotical rainfall figures on the Bureau of Met web site (www.bom.gov.au).

That will identify the places that are marginal propositions. After that it probably will come down to price.

  2. I'd say Gunnedah, Dunedoo NSW areas

  3. somwhere within the Murray Darling Basin

its where the majority of dryland grazing occurs

and where the majority of Australias food comes from

  4. They're all over the countryside...just take your pick. You might find it useful to google it, perhaps.

  5. You want cattle and sheep, then right off the coastal areas then.  Its one of those how long is a piece of string questions - but -  St.George, Jundah they are out west a way.  You just keep goin for two days and two nights and turn left if you know what I mean.  It aint nothing like the states.

  6. I think it would depend on what sort of farming you want to do, for example in the south west of West Aust where there is good rainfall there are dairy farms. Up north where the conditions are harsher are extensive beef cattle farms.

Anyway here is a link to a real estate company which sells farming properties.
