There are numorous tourism spots in Bali. If you seek beaches you should go to Nusa Dua or Sanur. I love the scenery in green paddy field in Ubud too.

If you seek less crowded island you should go to Lombok, just next to Bali island

well mate you can go to cangu or balian or medewi, h**l why don't you just go down to the bukit, who cares if it challenging, Uluwatu is not as hard as people may say or think, just try it you might be surprised.

Bali is a great place to surf and there are many places to surf for all standards of surfers. Kuta is good but can be a bit straight at times also Legian can be the same. You could try Semyniak just north of Legian; Medewi a bit further north. On the Sanur side you could try Padang Galak which is north of Sanur or Sri Lanka near Nusa Club Med
