Where in California can I recycle heavy duty steel?

I have a 3 huge steel trailer dollys that were used to deliver a very big modular home. It was left here on our property & I was wondering if there was any recycle centers (for steel) that would accept them or pick them up. Any help would be appreciated!!! If you have phone numbers or web link, that would be great!

  1. Since you didn't specify your city, I can't provide an exact place.  Check out http://earth911.org and specify that you want to recycle steel and put in your zipcode and it will give you the closest place to call.

  2. You don't say what city you live in.   Many people that recycle would be happy to pick that stuff up for free.  Or call your city and ask them for help.  Or put an ad in the recycler paper or pennysaver.

  3. Sims Metal

    www.sims-group.com

    130 N 12th St

    Sacramento, CA 95811

    (916) 444-3380

    Sometimes they will pay you.

  4. There are many scrap dealers in California, and many of them will pick up a load that size.  But we don't know where you are.  Check the yellow pages for scrap metal dealers in your area.
