Where in Canada is a good place to live? My husband and I are from the US and want to move to Canada but we are not familiar with the city. We also do not want to be too far away from the city, the restaurants, the beache's.

And is it more expensive to live there than in the US?

  1. you will need to do some research to find an area that you can find work in the field you are qualified. you need to apply to immigrate and pretty much the only visa is a skilled workers visa unless you have family here to sponsor you

this site will show you the process

  2. Vancouver,  and Victoria are both beautiful cities to live in .

If you're looking to retire,  Parksville.

You could also check out Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, Westbank which are all on a very large lake in the okanagan valley.

  3. If you want to live in a REALLY nice place, i would say Vancouver. It is one of the most expensive cities to live in though. It's so worth it though. Nice place, nice beaches, people, restaurents, (if you live downtown)

The nicest part is West Van, but that place is expensive

  4. I live in possibly one of the best places in Canada if you look at living conditions over the cost of living: Vancouver. The best places for natural however, are on the Northshore with Ambleside Park as the place with the best beach in Vancouver in my opinion. The down side of living on the Northshore is that many convieniences, offices, and services are not available there and to cross the Lions Gate bridge/Second Narrow bridge in rush hour times is a huge pain. If you want nature a short walk away, the part of downtown near Stanley park is ideal.
