Where in Cebu can I buy stamps for my stamp collection?

I'm just an amateur stamp collector, so big bucks stamps are out of my league.

For someone just beginning a stamp collection there are many ways to acquire stamps. Here are some of my suggestions:

1) Ask friends and relatives to save stamps off the mail they receive. With a little research (see link) and practice you can successfully remove most stamps from envelopes by soaking them in water and drying them on paper towels.

2) Check your local phonebook for a stamp dealer in your city. Many dealers have unsorted mixtures of stamps from which collectors can pick up stamps for just pennies a piece.

3) There are numerous mail order stamp companies that specialize in selling stamps to beginners. You can buy stamps on approval (the stamps are mailed to you for review prior to purchase) and you can buy stamps in "all different" packets. You can find many of stamp dealers listed in the classified Linns Stamp News (see link).

4) Check Linns and the local paper for annoucements of upcoming stamp shows. These events often include free stamps for beginners and are usually sponsored by a local stamp club.

5) Local clubs are a great resource for beginners. Join a club.

6) The local post office is another great source. Visit the "philatelic" window.

7) Visit eBay's extensive stamp section.
