This website promoting Chilean tourism talks about a "Lake of the Incas" and the legends surrounding it.

I'm going to study abroad in Chile next fall and I'd love to make a visit to this location... It sounds fascinating. Most of the search engines only come up with Lake Titicaca (not in Chile) and links back to this website, however. Is it known better by another name, perhaps?

  1. It is located about 100 miles North-East of Santiago in the Valparaíso region in the Los Andes municipality. It is near the Argentine/Chilean border and the Portillo Ski Resort was built around the lake. I have never been there but from the looks of the picture, it looks amazing.
