Beshoffs is very good. you could even visit howth in north Dublin and eat them by the sea, as Beshoffs have a place there too. Other than Beshoffs, Leo burdocks is known to be very good. He is in Rathmines or Liffey/Abbey Street. Enjoy.

Leo Burdock's, beside Christchurch, its famous for having the best chips in Dublin....they still serve them in paper...Id recommend asking for Chips'n'bits.....mmmmm

The secret to the taste is in the cooking I believe it's beef suet not veg oil like all the other chippers.

1 block from temple bar area in the centre of dublin is the arlington hotel. on the 1st floor is a gigantic bar area with fabulous live music and a choice of great food reasonably priced steaming and waiting to be eaten. downstairs is a large niteclub with a more formalized dining arrangement and has great live music. the entire atmosphere is irish, jolly, exciting and the food is equally great. all food is fresh and portions huge

What a quality question.

When you come out of the Guinness factory there's a main road. Walk towards the centre of Dublin for about a minute & on the other side of the road is a quality chippy. It's run by an Italian bloke who supports Arsenal, but the food was traditional like proper fish & chips should be. Lush!

If it's in the city it's GOT to be Leo Burdocks and you dont just get fich and chips you get half a shark and a 4 stone bag of Spuds.

If you're a bit more of a sight seer go to Howth and try one of the ish and chip shops along the strand, with the sea air you'll be STARVING and they all taste great. the last shop before the harbour also has a sit down restaurant (bit like the cafe in eastenders) but it's inside wamr and dry and the food, fantastic.

The best fish & chips in Dublin has to be in Finglas Village.I can't remember the name of the place but it's next door to Iceland aswell as next door to a chinese takeaway.It sells a thing they call a Fish Box & in it you get pieces of all kinds of fish including smoked cod,fresh cod & ray.You will easily get enough in it for 2 people & it's not very dear to buy.

I can't wait till I'm home again before I can go there again,nowhere else compares.

Just along the street from The Gresham Hotel in O'Connell Street(or it was 40 years ago). But if you really want the worlds best fish and chips, try Whitby or second best would be any restaurant in Nova Scotia.

Beshoffs is the best and most popular fish and chips shop in dublin they also have a branch in belfast .There use 2b a harry ramsey fish & chip shop near the red cow inn but its closed CANT BEAT THERE FISH& CHIPS.
