  1. Southend its okay i guess

  2. Southport has a huge beach were the tide rarely comes in and is well renowned for the exclusive shops on Lord Street.

It's not big as in city terms, with a population of approx 100,000, but Its accessible by train from Liverpool, Wigan and Manchester and considerd to be a more luxurious resort than Blackpool.

  3. U could try the trafford centre in manchester great for shopping, dining and entertainment its not near a beach but the ship canel runs past it an the dining inside has a theme of a big ship complete with fountains and pools..

or try the new shopping centre in liverpool its just opened an is by the docks i believe.

or there is york in yorkshire plenty of shops inside the city walls an the river has a sort of beach on it.. also plenty of pubs and bars so you can relax and take a break from all the shopping  and get a drink!

or go blackpool, plenty of sand and sea there, it has shops mainy surrounding the tower, but in blackpool you can add a bit of thrill to your day and head down to the pleasurebeach!

  4. if you want culture go to france

  5. In England.....hmmmm.....Brighton?

  6. I live in Cornwall and newquay is a great tourisy area, wih beauiful golden sands and nice beaches in he summer.

The capital city of Truro is a nice day out for shopping too :)

  7. Bournemouth, Weymouth, Blackpool. There's also some lovely places in the counties of Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.

  8. Great shopping in Newcastle Centre & The Metro Centre, and wonderful sandy beaches just 20min away on the metro in Whitley Bay, Cullercoats & Tynemouth.

  9. Bournemouth is a good bet - great beaches and lots of shops & restaurants.  Trains leave Birmingham New Street every hour at 3 minutes past the hour and the journey take 3 hours 12 minutes - no changes required.

  11. Beach  You could try  Bournemouth, or Blackpool!  As for  great shopping Where else but   London!   The best place for any   high street stores..

  12. Brighton. It's got a lovely beach, a buzzing city centre with plenty of things to see.

South west is also beautiful, although that might be a bit of a journey from the midlands. In future, consider Portsmouth or Southampton, they're beautiful cities.
