Where in Fajardo do you recommend for a group?

we are in our early 20's and enjoy nightlife as well as many activities avail during the day.

I know someone suggested Fajardo, and I understand it is cheaper, but there is no real nightlife there. Fajardo is on the east most point of the island,so unless the day activity you want to do is on the NE, it is a long drive.

I have seen from your other posts you are on a budget.  

I suggest you find somewhere as close to Isla Verde, SJ as possible that you can afford. If you can find somewhere in Isla Verde,  you can walk to nightlife (lots), you can even take public transportation to OSJ  and save a day or two  of car rental.  Much more the college guy/nightlife scene.  Beaches are nice there too.

From SJ, most activities you want to do will be within an hours drive or so.

Get a vacation rental /apartment,so you can save money on food.  Check ESJ towers (some are cheap), look on Craigslist.

Condado also has some action.  Ocean Park is more family oriented and it is very g*y-friendly.

The Fajardo are will be great if you want to be busy during the day, you will also get more 4 your money when it comes to a rental.  Night time, is a different story, there isn´t really one just local bars and such, but I guess when in a budget somethings got to give and we can´t always have everything we want.  You guys should weight your options. Ok so basically i'm going to add to the answers b4 min

IN a nutshell

Fajardo=Good tourism, abd nightlife

OSan Juan=Partially good tourism (depending on age range), awesome nightlife(i can tell you by experience)

So your options are few:

My suggestions are

Try to find alow budget place in fajardo tehre where many sites mentiones b4 all i can add is that fajardo is really awesome for catamaran rides snorkeling, las cabezas de san juan are there(i think) and if you can you should really go, and the beach life is awesome.Aditional "El Yunque" is not really too far from fajardo it's like half and hour or less.

If you really want to focus more on the nightlife then stay over at isla verde but during the day it's basically only beaches and if you go to OSJ there are some cool historic monuments.

My biggest suggestion is to try to find a way that you can do both like stay in Fajardo wake up real early to enjoy the activities fajardo can offer and by nighfall rent a car or anything you might have planned  as to transportation and head over to OSJ.
