Where in Galway is cheaper to live; Woodquay, Doughiska, Rosscam, other?

Question

I am looking to rent a 1 bedroom house/apartment in Galway.

I was thinking either Woodquay, Doughiska or Rosscam.

Anyone care to provide information on the average cost of rent, which is a better area to live in, are there areas that you enjoy more than the ones i picked? :\

It doesnt matter if its in Co. Galway or wherever, as long as it is easy to get to the main parts of Galway without car.

hi, west side of the city is (in general) a better area to live in than the east side, but also more expensive. for a one bed place, expect to pay about 600-700 euro pcm for something decent. think about where u'll be working as well-traffic in galway can be h**l and at rush hour it could take more than an hour to get from one side of the city to the other
