Where in Georgia can I go for a great 3 day vacation with 2 small kids?

I am looking for somewhere to go in November. Not interested in Callaway Gardens, Tybee Island, Helen, or Atlanta. Is there anywhere in North Georgia that is fun besides Stone Mountain. We love the mountains but dont want to drive outside of georgia. Is there any great mountain towns that are not cheesy like Helen? ( will be traveling with 5 yr old and 10 month old)

My recommendation is just barely outside of Georgia.  It's Chattanooga, Tennessee.  There is a very interesting aquarium that is quite different from the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.  There are some neat places to eat downtown and I believe they have a rock that overlooks the whole city.  I think its called Ruby Falls, but I could be wrong.

To keep a 5 year old entertained the other responder is right Chattanooga is your best bet its only 20 mins from Dalton, GA and boasts tons to due for the 5 year old and its a safe beautiful area. The riverwalk, storefronts, and aquarium is really good.
