Question:

Where in Halifax is the best spot to see ships? (how about while sitting in the car)?

I am new to Halifax and live in Fairviews area, and I kept hearing ship horns, and I wanted to go see some ships going in and out of port.

BUT, I don't know where to go. I just want to sip some Tim Horton's hot-chocolate and sit with the wife in the car and enjoy the view as ships pull in and out of port.

Where can I go to see this? (it'd be great if you told me the exact address or pin-pointed it on Google Maps for me!)

THANKS

  1. Purdy's Wharf area, around the casino, etc. Anywhere that borders Halifax Harbour is a fine spot for viewin'. I recommend springing for a trip on the Dartmouth ferry (around two bucks a person), consider it a romantic harbour cruise with the missus.
