My friend and I are going to go to Ireland soon and we wanted to see the sites but we also want to see some of Ireland that not everyone gets to see. The part that makes Ireland special to everyone living there.

  1. just go into the country side of Ireland in any part of Ireland rural local village life unspoiled untouched by the tourist trap meet every day people and enjoy the culture and scenery that ireland has to offer

  2. Donegal - It's a four hour bus journey outside of Dublin... but it's worth the trek. Loads to see and do from historical sites, outdoor activities, surfing, drinking, eating ... very laid back place.

My Mother comes from there and every time we go back it gets better and better!

    Hope this helps

  3. well the obvious destination for tourists is Dublin, but it is very staged so I would suggest avoiding it.  There are many beautiful towns and villages around Ireland, particularly in West/Sout-West.

There is a nice website to find out more about the towns in Ireland - www.mytown.ie

  4. dont listen 2 wat the other people said. these are all really popular places. i live in omagh. it is a beautiful town(not huge but not tiny) which has newly been modernised. it is at the foothills of the sperrin mountains and has gorgeous scenery. you can go to the gortin glens forest park for a hike or to have a picnic by the lakes. there is alot of wildlife to see also. a very world famous visitor attraction in omagh is the ulster american folk park... it is a must see. omagh has much to do for people of all ages and is also surround by lush, green, counrtyside, for those who want to get away from it all. omagh has many delicious restaurants and fabulous hotels in the town centre and surrounding area. there are also guest house in the countryside and sperrin mountains. this is a top destination for people who want to see what ireland is all about. the people are amazing and really friendly. not a place that many people know about. i love living here. it is AMAZING. you should definatley come here. write back and let me know what you think!!! good luck... and happy holidaying!!!!! x x x x x x x x x x xx

  5. Croke Park, Wicklow Jail and Kilmanen Jail are great things to see.

You could go down to Cork and See the Blarney Stone. The myth is I you kiss it you’ll never shut up!

For the scenery I like the Wicklow mountains.-à http://www.gsi.ie/NR/rdonlyres/6CC9C746-...

Also in Wicklow, are the Sugarloaf mountains. They’re very beautiful too. à http://www.lookaroundireland.com/countie...

In Dublin, The best night life is definitely in Temple Bar.

If you want a relaxing, quiet holiday in the country or enjoy the scenery, then any parts of the country will do it for you really like Donegal, Galway, Clare, Mayo etc.

If you want a shopping, busy, touristy holiday then anywhere (or most places) in Dublin will do it for you.

A town in Kerry (the South of Ireland, It’s beside Cork too) called Tralee is very touristy. It is the largest town in Ireland.

It has many attractions and loads of shops and a great night life.

It’s great for young people and people with small families. It suits everyone.

It has an aqua dome swimming pool which is always packed and outside the pool, You can play crazy Golf.

Here is a site on Tralee:  http://www.tralee-insight.com/
