Where in London England can you do Summer work experience with large animals?

Question

Friend's son applying to university - wants to be a large animal vet. Only thing I can think of is horses for the police or the army. I'm assuming the Zoo's well booked up by now for this Summer.

Your idea of organisations that use animals, such as the Police sounds a  good one to pursue.

Alternatively there are a number of `City Farms` in London that have animals and are often charities so are open to any help they can get!  

Two City Farms I know of are Vauxhall and Hackney but there are more.
