Where in Manchester (UK) city centre is a good night on a Saturday that aint gonna cost a fortune?

Want a good night out with the lads, starting off near the MEN arena side, any suggestions of good places to go, clubs, pubs etc for a good night out (places that dont charge like > £4 a pint!)?
