  1. Recycling is a community service that most people pay for, they dont pay you other than bottle deposits.

I own a home in Michigan and I pay 71 dollars on my winter taxes for recycling pick up.

  2. your neighbour will do it for free

  3. Never heard of a place that does that in Michigan, normally you have to pay or find a free pick up site to dispose of those type of cans. Now if you lived somewhere like Tennessee, there might be a location that would actually pay you.

  4. If there is a scrap metal recycling center near by they would weigh your load and then pay you for the material (scrap aluminum).  But you'd better have a truck load of them to make enough money to even pay for your gas driving there. Better to just put them in the garbage companies recycling bin and let them take care of it.

  5. Oh!  You're in one of those states that recycle!  I've always wondered if anyone in MA, VT, MA, CA, MI ever turned those cans and bottles in for 5 cents.  HMMM!  Can't help you with your queston but if I were you I might consider putting out flyers in several neighborhoods that you will pick up their recyclables items on a certain weekend each month.  YOu might make a few hundred bucks that way.
