I can hook you up with 3 acres on the Rogue River (there is a beach) in Gold Hill.

There is a mobile there though, not a regular house.

I have no idea what kind of jobs are in Medford.

Hillsboro (outlying), Beaverton and the west hills of Portland though with housing right now it may be more than 300k. But these all are near Intel and Nike HQ.

If you want further out of the city, try Forest Grove, Beavercreek, Sandy, Canby, and Aloha. (These are all near Portland)
