Where in Portland, OR has the best public transportation?

I would like to move there I just need more information on where to live. I have heard they have a lite rail. Could I live outside of Portland?

The enire metro region is served by Tri-Met (www.tri-met.org). It serves the three counties in the Portland Metro area. They have buses, light rail and street cars. They are continually expanding the light rail to reach the outlying less populated areas. Almost anywhere within the portland metro area is easily accessible by public transit. Portland is also a very bike friendly town. There are lots of paths away from traffic, allowing for an easy bike commute if you are interested.
