Clubs and cab drivers. If you have a younger cab driver and he seems cool ask if he has any. Never follow someone that wants you to follow them to get it, or wants you to meet their friend who "has" it. Never stray off too far from where the tourists are (when trying to score pot). Just be careful and check your six, you'll be fine. No harm in smoking a little pot, never killed anyone.

If you must, then go to Puerto Escondido.  It is the Amsterdam of Mexico and anything you want will be waiting for you.

It is very easy to get weed in Mexico. In your own hotel may it be a 5 star or cheap hostel , you can asked the bellboy how to get it or if he can get it for you. Of course, do not forget the tip.

Well, Vallarta is a major tourist destination and unlike in Europe, in Mexico people do kinda... frown at people smoking weed in the street in major cities. Mexico City DF state cops like to find excuses to get bribes to poor saps that are just walking in the street at night doing nothing illegal at all, imagine if you were huffing pot. Haha.

You might be lucky asking some other tourists at a night club because weed isn't really all that hard to get. Just ask for mota which is mexican slang for weed. However, people that do those things generally avoid major touristy spots. Many small beaches in Mexico are well-known but underground safe havens for recreational drug use. The locals could care less what you do as long as you don't mug them or be rude to them or anything because it's tourist money for them, and cops tend to avoid messing with villagers (and no, the military aren't in every teeny tiny corner of the country shooting people down like that. if thatw ere true, I could imagine villagers lynching and burning soldiers alive right now and the President being forced to retreat everyone and say a huge sorry on national tv).

There is a drug war going on in Mexico right now, if the Federal police or the Army does not shoot you I'm sure the local criminals will not hesitate to rob and kill you. Good luck if you survive, Mexican jails are real pest holes.
