Where in Sacramento, CA can I find a restaurant that has a live Mariachi band along with good food??

I have a date and I really want her to see a mariachi band, but also enjoy good mexican food....

tres hermanas and la favoritia taqueria both have awesome authenitic mexican food.  in fact, they're the only places i'll eat mexican food other than my mother's house!

neither resturant is very upscale, but they both have different enviroments--if you want to have a chilled out date, check out tres hermanas (and order the chicken taco dinner with the HOUSE salad...its amazing!); if you want something in a more crowded setting, la favorita is the place for you (their carnitas are sooo good & my boyfriend really likes their huge bean and cheese burritos.)

unfortunately, tres hermanas doesn't have mariachi bands :( BUT there is one saturday of every month that la favorita offers mariachi music.  you should give them a call and ask what dates they bring them in.

I don't think they had a mariachi band but the BEST Mexican restaurant in Sacramento is (was) Ernesto's.  Not only the best Mexican food in Sac, some of the best I've ever had.  I haven't lived in Sac for over 10 years but if it's still there you HAVE to take her there.

i never been to any of those but mexican resturants that ive been to have a music box machine just put a quater in and pick a song. then ask her to dance. lol. a good one i used to go to was julio's. its good food but bad constumer service.

its on fruitridge and stockton. right on the corner, right next to subway.

Xochimilco is good stuff, but kind of casual for a date.

I would suggest Mission Rogelio in Gold River.  I have not been there for a couple of years they used to have mariachis on Fridays, maybe Saturdays as well.
